Hiring a Maxi Cosi Mico Ap isofix capsule is the easiest way to get you and your new baby home from the hospital safely. The Maxi Cosi Capsule is an easy to use capsule; which can be unclipped from the base with ease.
Many parents are finding they only use a capsule for 4 months not the 6 months which most other baby shops hire capsules out for. When you need to use the maxi cosi isofix capsule longer than 4 months; the hire rate is only $40 per month.
When should you book your Capsule Hire
You should book your baby capsule hire as early as possible. It is recommended to book your baby capsule at least 6 weeks before your due date, this allows Travel Safe to secure a suitable baby capsule for you and deliver and install the baby capsule 2 weeks prior to due date. When you book your baby capsule hire less than 4 weeks prior to the birth, it is not possible to guarantee that there will be sufficient stock.
Purchasing a Baby capsule or a convertible car seat can be expensive. On the other hand; hiring a maxi cosi capsule, frees up cash for other expenses; eg getting the baby nursery ready. We understand this and want you start to parenthood to be easier with our 4 month hire and free installation.

Many people believe that ISOFIX is safer than the traditional seat belt installation; however in reality; seat belt installation is safer.
Problems with isofix
Seat Belt installation is safe due to the fact due to the following reasons
- Isofix connections too long
- Isofix buckle too big
- child restraint uses rigid fixed isofix connectors
- webbing between child restraint and isofix buckle is too long
- stabilising bar is too vertical
NOTE : Should the Isofix installation be considered unsafe, the traditional seat belt installation will be used with a locking clip.
Mico ap Vs Mico Ap Isofix capsule
The only difference between the isofix and non isofix version is the ISOFIX connectors. As noted in the paragraph above; there are a number of issues with Isofix system, preventing a secure installation. Since the introduiction of Isofix, experience has shown the only cars where Mico Ap isofix works is when the isofix attachement points are recessed by at least 3.5cm.
The Mico AP Isofix capsule cannot be recommended and does not add any value to safety. If you require Isofix capsule hire then you are better off the the Maxi Cosi Mico Plus.
Returning the capsule
Prior to the return of the deposit, the capsule covers must be washed. When the capsule is returned, all additional parts supplied, must also be included ; eg. gated buckle, head snuggler, shoulder pads and tether extension. All missing parts will be charged at RRP.
Please Note: When you require a later model Capsule, we recommend to hire the maxi cosi mico limited capsule. All Capsules are under 8 years of age and have never been involved in an accident.

Note : At the beginning you select the hire period (4 or 6 months); after which, the cost is $40 per month.
Professional Mico Ap Capsule Isofix Installation (with 4+ month hire) – usually $45; waived when combined with a Isofix Capsule Hire. Unsure if your Baby Car seat installer is certified; Ask if they are ACRI accredited.
